Keywords: land market, ancient régime, french revolution, family practices, expropriation

Abstract

The issue of the land market permits to grasp the flows and refluxes of the rural property. It also helps to the historians to understand, among others themes, the strategies used by the families with the purpose to manage their patrimony and to participate in the land market. Moreover, this subject permits to understand the collective, family, and individual logic, to know the hierarchies, the alliances and the conflicts inside the social space.
