Abstract

In the European investigation about the agricultural growth during the last three centuries, it have been debated the virtues and the defects between the small one and the great agricultural exploitation. It is possible to outline a balance in France, but before is necessary to establish criteria that have been commonly admitted to form the category great exploitation before the structural changes of the agriculture in the second half of the 20th century.
