Un largo camino: la lucha por el sufragio femenino en Estados Unidos
Resumen
Resumen: El propósito de este trabajo es abordar la lucha de las mujeres por el sufragio en Estados Unidos. Con ese fin, se revisan las diferentes etapas por las que atravesó dicho proceso y las características de las mismas. Se describe cómo la colonización del Oeste favoreció las aspiraciones de las mujeres, su participación política y los rasgos de la doctrina liberal los cuales legitimaron y fortalecieron su discurso. También se alude a otro tipo de activismo femenino, como el papel decisivo que jugaron las mujeres en lograr la ley seca en algunos estados y, finalmente en el ámbito federal.Descargas
